Karen
Jamieson (Partner)
was called to the British Columbia bar
in 1993 and joined Murray Jamieson in October, 1994. She practices
general civil litigation with an emphasis on insurance defence. Her
practice encompasses a wide variety of matters including personal
injury; disability, travel and life insurance claims; property damage
claims; professional negligence; contract |

matters, mental health law; and sexual assault/historical abuse claims.
Ms. Jamieson has represented clients at all levels of Court in British
Columbia and has presented argument before the Supreme Court of Canada.
She has also acted as intervenor's counsel at several coroner's inquests.
The nature of her practice has allowed her to conclude many cases
successfully through mediation. Ms. Jamieson served as a Law Clerk
in the British Columbia Supreme Court from 1991 - 1992. She is currently
a member of the Canadian Bar Association (B.C. Branch) Civil Litigation
and Insurance sections. She served on the Executive of the Vancouver
Young Lawyers section from 1995 - 1998 and was a member of the CLE
Civil Litigation Advisory Committee for the 2000 - 2002 term.
